Events in Durham:
Trans Day of Remembrance
20th November, 19:00 – 22:00, Durham Students’ Union
Hosted by the university societies Durham LGBT+ Association and Durham Trans Campaign, the event will feature reading the list of the dead, music and poetry and craft stalls.
Events in Newcastle:
20th November, 19:00 – 22:00, Super Natural Café, 27 Grainger St.
Hosted by the charity ‘Be: Trans Support & Development North’, this event will feature the reading of the roll of the dead, a candlelit silent memorial, an opportunity to speak and socialisation.
Trans Remembrance Vigil
19th November, 13:00 – 14:00, outside Newcastle University Students’ Union
Hosted by Newcastle University Feminist Society and NUSU Trans Awareness Week 2017, this event offers a chance to pay respect to the dead with candles.
